November 1, 2014 (Boulder, Colorado) – Craft Beer Hound, a specialty retailer of gifts and gadgets for beer lovers, released a limited edition t-shirt to raise awareness for men’s health during the month of November. Proceeds from sales of the t-shirt will be donated to Pints for Prostates.
During “Movember” men are encouraged to grow mustaches to spark conversation and raise funds for men’s health programs. The goal of “Movember” is to “change the face of men's health” and it’s a fun way for guys to show their support and generate awareness for men’s health issues and charities.
“One of our best-selling t-shirts features a mustache graphic that reads ‘Malty Man’ – we thought it would be a great item to feature for the month of November in order to raise some money for Pints for Prostates,” says Craft Beer Hound Co-Founder Amy Mendez.
Pints for Prostates is a grassroots campaign that uses the universal language of beer to reach men with an important health message. Founded in 2008 by beer writer and prostate cancer survivor Rick Lyke, the campaign raises awareness among men about the importance of regular health screenings and early detection by making appearances at beer events, social networking and pro bono advertising.
